Convenient Location, Disappointing Experience - Bungalow 5

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. While the location is convenient and the included water park admission is a nice perk, the condition of the bungalow and several maintenance issues made it hard to fully enjoy our visit. The property is noticeably older and could use significant updating. As soon as we walked in, the bungalow smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We ended up buying a candle just to make the room more tolerable. The air conditioning also struggled to keep the bungalow cool, making it uncomfortable during the Texas summer. Check-in got off to a rough start because the door code we were given didn’t work, and we had to call to get a new code before we could get inside. We were informed that the tap water was not the best but we weren’t expecting just how salty it would be. It def is not drinkable, and we even used bottled water to brush our teeth. The shower pressure was also extremely weak it felt more like taking a sponge bath than a real shower. There were also several maintenance and safety concerns. The bathroom has two entrances, but the sliding door doesn’t have a lock, making privacy awkward. Outside the bungalow, the string lights and a gray cable were hanging low across the walkway, creating a tripping hazard. We stayed with a group that had small children and the cables were so low they could grab them if we weren’t watching. One positive was discovering that water park admission was included with our stay. I don’t remember seeing that clearly advertised during the booking process, and that’s a great benefit that should be highlighted for future guests. Overall, the location is nice if you are planning to goto the water park but the property feels neglected and in need of updates and better maintenance. Based on our experience, we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Good

Cute little place. Only complaint I have is the water pressure. You have about 3 minutes of water pressure. Difficult to rinse shampoo out of your hair if you have long hair and I didn’t even try conditioner. Overall it was what it said it was, so 5 stars it is. And I didn’t see any bedbugs. I saw someone else make that complaint, but I always check before bringing my things in at ALL hotel rooms. This one was good. And Lake Travis is beautiful!! The drive is beautiful!

Enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and the beds comfortable. One of the best parts is that there was always someone available to answer our questions. We will be staying there again. I highly recommend staying at the bungalows.

Fun, Easy, and Just What We Needed!

I traveled with my husband and our 7-year-old daughter, and we had a great time! The location is perfect—close to the lake and the waterpark. The bungalow was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. A fun and family-friendly experience we definitely recommend!

Review of room and lake only.

Booked very nice little bungalow, for my anniversary. We got pretty little bungalow #5. Very comfortable beds with all sorts of pillow options lol. I liked the super fluffy pillows hubby liked the firmer one. This one had two beds seperated by the bathroom. The small room had a much easier time of cooling in the texas heat so we chilled in there to start till sun laid off the lakeside windows. They do provide fans to help move the air. You park right next to your door. Clean floors so nice. I really prefer to be barefoot at home so its nice when they obviously work at it. The rugs were a little stained but being right by the lake I am very impressed with how clean and bright this bungalow was. It's very clean lots of surfaces and seating two table and a dresser. everything provided in the kitchen lots of dishes, cute litle oven stovetop. Bathroom is tiny with lots of light. Cute little shower lots of towels and washcloths. They use a water softener so be sure to bring lots of drinking water for you and your coffee. The tvs were already signed in on most streaming sites using hotel pass so nice and easy tv.Very easy to remember passcode for door. Easy to enter and leave using keypad. Short steep walk to lake. Fun drive to location in my little car. I am so happy to see the beautiful lake back up to level. Unfortunatly the hotel booked a last minute event that the hotel didn't know about so we were unable to utilize the restraunt or the waterpark, Oasis is just a ways down the road and uber can find you. I would probably stay here again.
