Walkable East Austin! Backyard Pool, Pet-Friendly

This is a beautiful home in an excellent location. Only 3 blocks from Lady Bird Lake with shaded walks and a central location to Austin. The second floor has its own living area and the third floor suite is like a spacious penthouse with skylights. Cool dips in the pool were a relief to the Austin heat and the waterfall was a relaxing background while on the large covered porch. We felt secure with the gated parking and the multiple bathrooms with contemporary tile and furnishings felt very upscale. The kitchen was one of the best stocked of any short term rentals I've used and have real high end appliances that made cooking a joy. The agency was super quick to respond with questions or needs. They even took the trash to the street! We will be back.

Very clean, very well appointed where it mattered - bedrooms and kitchen . Perfect for a quick couple nights in Austin. Beds were nice and comfortable. Couple little quirks but we worked them out with the owner’s staff easily- nothing that was detrimental to our stay. The gate can be tricky but works fine after you are familiar. Oh- the pool! Amazing addition. Kids favorite part. Would absolutely stay at this property for our next visit.

This is a very nice, clean place. The rating is due to two problems, one a safety issue and one just annoying. The first: the stairs are a beautiful wood, but they curve 180 degrees and blend into each other, so it's easy to trip. One of our party did just that, fell down the stairs and had to be conveyed to the ER. A simple fix would be to put a highlight strip at the edge of each tread. The second: be aware that you are not just dealing with a host, but with VRBO and a third party, Austin Vacay. Only VRBO was responsive to us in a consistent manner. Austin Vacay was not, and we never heard anything from the host. Were these two problems addressed, this would be a 5 star property, but until they are, a five star rating is not appropriate.

Great place to stay! There was 8 guys that all came for a fantasy football draft and it was perfect!
